Epic Universe Scooter Rental, Delivered to Your Universal Hotel

Universal Epic Universe has a lot of ground to cover. If long walks wear you out, a mobility scooter lets you enjoy the day at your own pace. Apple Scooter delivers scooters to Universal Orlando hotels and leaves them at the bell desk. You keep your scooter for your whole trip, not just one day in one park.

About Epic Universe

Epic Universe opened on May 22, 2025. It is Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park. It has five “worlds”:

  • Celestial Park, the first area you enter
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
  • SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
  • Dark Universe

Universal Helios Grand Hotel has its own entrance into Epic Universe for hotel guests. You still need a valid park ticket.

Renting a scooter at the park vs. renting from us

Universal’s accessibility guide says Epic Universe rents wheelchairs and ECVs (scooters) in limited numbers, first come, first served. Scooters are rented just inside the main entrance turnstiles, at the stroller rental area. A park rental is for that park, that day.

With Apple Scooter, your scooter is reserved ahead. It is waiting at your hotel when you arrive. You can use it at your hotel, at CityWalk, and at Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay, following each park’s rules.

Good to know: Epic Universe rules for scooters

These come from Universal’s own Epic Universe accessibility guide:

  • Rides and lines: except for The Untrainable Dragon, Epic Universe ride lines and ride vehicles do not take scooters. Where a ride can take a standard wheelchair, you can switch from your scooter to a wheelchair that Universal provides there. If you can’t make that switch, ask an Attractions Attendant.
  • Shuttle buses: Universal’s free buses connect the parks, CityWalk and the Universal hotels. The buses have wheelchair lifts. Scooter riders move to a regular seat for the ride.
  • Driving safely: go at walking speed or a little slower, use elevators (never escalators), and turn the scooter off and take the key when you leave it parked.
  • Accessibility card: if you only need a scooter or wheelchair, Universal says you do not need to apply for the IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card.

We leave your scooter at the bell desk at every Universal hotel on our booking form: Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, Loews Portofino Bay, the Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific, Loews Sapphire Falls, Universal Aventura, Cabana Bay Beach Resort, and the Endless Summer Dockside and Surfside Inns. Staying somewhere else in Orlando? We deliver to other hotels and vacation homes too. We don’t deliver to park gates.

Tips for a comfortable Epic Universe day

  • Your scooter arrives charged. Plug it in every night, including your last night.
  • Epic Universe days are long. Bring the charger and plug in while you eat lunch.
  • Traveling with little ones or someone who prefers not to drive? We also rent folding wheelchairs and strollers, left at the same bell desk.

How to book

  1. Choose a scooter on our scooter rentals page.
  2. Pick your dates and choose “Delivery to Universal Hotel (Leave at Bell Desk).”
  3. Select your hotel, then check out.
  4. When you check in, ask the bell desk for your Apple Scooter delivery. On your last day, leave the scooter and charger at the same bell desk.

Epic Universe scooter questions

Can I reserve a scooter from Universal ahead of time?

Universal says its park wheelchairs and ECVs are first come, first served, in limited numbers. When you rent from us, your scooter is reserved and waiting at your hotel.

Can I ride my scooter onto the rides at Epic Universe?

Mostly no. Universal says The Untrainable Dragon is the only Epic Universe attraction whose line and ride take scooters. At many rides, you can switch to a standard wheelchair that Universal provides.

Can I take the scooter on Universal’s shuttle buses?

Yes, if it fits on the lift and in the wheelchair space. Universal asks scooter riders to move to a regular seat for the ride.

Do I need to meet your driver at my Universal hotel?

No. We leave the scooter at the bell desk. Just ask bell services for your Apple Scooter delivery.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation is free 72 hours or more before delivery. Inside 72 hours, it is $40 per item. A same-day cancellation, no-show or refused delivery is charged the 2-day minimum. If a hurricane or tropical storm closes Universal Orlando or Walt Disney World during your rental, you get a 100% refund as an Apple Scooter gift card.
