Need a wheelchair for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando or a day out in Orlando? Renting at the park vs. renting from us
Disney rents wheelchairs at its theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Here is what Disney’s own wheelchair page says:
- Disney’s wheelchairs are first come, first served. You cannot reserve one, and quantities are limited, so Disney says to arrive early.
- You must be 18 or older, with a photo ID, to rent one.
- The weight limit is 350 pounds, and a wheelchair holds one person.
- A Disney wheelchair cannot leave the place where you rented it. You return it when you leave.
- You are welcome to bring your own wheelchair, or rent from another company.
Universal’s accessibility guides say the same kind of thing: wheelchairs come in limited numbers, first come, first served, at the park entrance, and you leave a deposit on top of the daily fee.
With Apple Scooter, your wheelchair is reserved for you. It waits at your hotel and goes everywhere you go: the hotel, the bus, the parks, Disney Springs and CityWalk.

How hotel delivery works
- Disney-owned resorts: our driver meets you at the resort and hands over your wheelchair. At Walt Disney Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve, we leave it at the bell desk. See our Disney World scooter rental guide.
- Universal hotels: we leave the wheelchair at the bell desk. Just ask bell services for your Apple Scooter delivery. See our Universal Orlando scooter rental guide.
- Other Orlando hotels and vacation homes: choose “Delivery to Other Hotel/AirBnB” and type in the address.
When your trip is over, we pick it up. We don’t deliver to theme park gates.
How to book your wheelchair
- Go to our wheelchair rentals page and pick your wheelchair.
- Choose your dates and how you’d like to get it: delivery to a Disney hotel, a Universal hotel, another hotel or home, or pickup at our showroom.
- Pick your hotel and a delivery window, add any extras, and check out.
- Enjoy your trip. On your last day, we pick it up.

Wheelchair rental questions
Can I reserve a wheelchair from Disney ahead of time?
No. Disney says its park wheelchairs are first come, first served, and reservations are not accepted. A Disney wheelchair also has to stay where you rented it. When you rent from us, the wheelchair is reserved for you and stays with you all trip.
How much does a wheelchair rental cost?

Where do you deliver?
We deliver to Disney hotels, Universal hotels and other Orlando hotels and vacation homes, and we pick up when you leave. You can also pick up at our showroom at 14990 Kissimmee Vineland Rd, Unit 138, Orlando, FL 32821.
Do I have to be there when you deliver?

What if I need to cancel?
Cancellation is free 72 hours or more before delivery. Inside 72 hours (before the day of delivery), it is $40 per item. A same-day cancellation, no-show or refused delivery is charged the 2-day minimum. If a hurricane or tropical storm closes Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando during your rental, you get a 100% refund as an Apple Scooter gift card. See our FAQ, or contact us with any question.
